SGUL Politics Society
The SGUL Politics Society is committed to facilitating a space for open debate and fair political discourse for students at St George’s, University of London. We neither lean left, nor right, but welcome passionate, opinionated members from across the political spectrum to discuss ideas, engage in debate and defend their beliefs.
Of course - you don’t need to have ever studied politics to become a member. This year, we plan on:
Hosting online guest speaker events from a range of political backgrounds (ie: MPs, pressure groups and local political parties)
Organising topical debates, workshops and events for members to participate
Co-ordinating with other societies (both at St George’s and elsewhere) to deliver engaging events for members
Promote opportunities for members to further engage with politics outside of the society and into their future careers
