24 Hour Musical Auditions

The musical society would like you to invite you to audition for their 24hr Musical, the title of which is kept a mystery until 24 hours before the show - crazy, right?! Previous successes include Rocky Horror, Shrek: the Musical and Little Shop of Horrors.

 

AUDITIONS: 10th and 12th October  

SHOW : 7pm Saturday 21st October (£3 entry)

Positions for part time care assistant job in 20 bed care home in Wimbledon village

Successful candidates will have opportunity to:
  • Gain skills based training such as first aid, safeguarding, infection control
  • Develop transferrable skills such as  communication skills, ability to engage in reflective practice
  • Engage with development work such as consultation with residents
  • Experience first hand how legislation, policies and research translate into practice

We will expect you to:
  •  Commit to a minimum of one 6 hour shift a week
  • Engage with our residents as individuals whilst delivering personal care
  • ·Be a strong team player 
  •  Respect  the Christian value driven ethos of the home

Drug Trial Volunteers Needed 
Cardiologist Dr Bode Ensam is recruiting healthy volunteers to take part in a new research study conducted at St George's.

The study will look at how the cardiac drug Ajmaline acts on healthy subjects. Participants will undergo comprehensive cardiac testing while taking the drug and a fee will be payable.  If you are interested in taking part, please complete a short online confidential questionnaire which can be accessed here 

Eligible candidates must be;

  • Between the ages of 18-65                
  • Free from any cardiac symptoms
  • White Caucasian      
  • Not on any cardiac medication
Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed and those completing the study will receive an additional £100 for their time.

2nd National Student Trauma Course 

Course Details
  • A two day comprehensive course, with a combination of short lectures and engaging practical team sessions where the candidate takes active part in the care of various trauma scenarios
  • Delivered by experts covering a wide range of specialities involved in the continuum of trauma patient's care

Target audience

  • A must for all, student paramedics, medical students, student nurses, students from AHP's interested in trauma care

Dates

  • 18th and 19th November 2017

Cost

  • £45.00 per day which includes refreshments and lunch
