Fencing Club
Whether you've never held a sword in your life or you're the dreaded pirate Robert, why not come along to our free taster session and and give fencing a stab!
We're a friendly club and welcome new members to join us. We provide all the equipment that you'll need to learn or practice Foil, Epee and Sabre fencing. All your coaching is given by members experienced in fencing. You'll be encouraged to spar early on to hone your skills.
Training sessions start with cardio warm ups, followed by footwork, then bladework and finally fighting on the electric box!
We've got plenty of room for competitive and recreational fencers alike.
We train on Wednesday evenings 5pm - 8:30pm (times may vary slightly). You'll find us in the Dragon Bar or the pub after training along with the other sports teams. We also organise other fun events such as curry, cinema and casino nights and many more! Like many of the other sports clubs we organise an annual tour to a secret location!
New members get 1 free month of fencing before deciding to join. Subs are £35 for the year and include all equipment upkeep costs and insurance. Competitions may be subject to extra charges
