What is the St. George's Award?

In an increasingly competitive jobs market, it’s the skills and experiences you gain while studying which really make you stand out from the crowd. For the first time, St George’s students can be rewarded for their extracurricular activities with the new St George’s Student Award.

This award recognises the skills students gain from participating in extracurricular activities, and enhances your learning and professional development.

It comes in three levels- Bronze, Silver, and Gold- and as well as rewarding students for the activities they are already doing, it encourages students to broaden their horizons and get involved in activities they might not have previously thought about. It’s specifically designed for healthcare and biomedical science students, and recognises the attributes integral to professional registration with bodies such as the GMC, HCPC, and IBMS. 

This Award will sit alongside and complement your academic achievements, giving you an advantage as you move into the working world.

Joint Faculty students can choose to either be involved in the St George's Award or the Kingston University Award. However, if students choose to participate in the St George's Award, then they should note that they will not be able to gain points for participating in Kingston University activities.
