Musical Society
Our society brings together everyone who has a passion for the stage, even if you've never stepped on one before! We stage two musical shows during each academic year. Our main musical is in March, with rehearsals from January onward - shows we have put on in the past include Bare: A Pop Opera, Cabaret, Into The Woods, How To Succeed In Business and many more over our 15+ year history. Keep an eye out for auditions in November/December if you'd like to be a part of this year's show!
Our other annual show is the 24 Hour Musical in October, where the premise is simple; we all find out what musical we will be performing on Friday at 7pm, and have only 24 hours to learn the lines, get the costumes, build the set and practice the songs before we perform it to a live audience the next evening! Watch as hilarity ensues, with past performances including: Heathers, Footloose, Shrek: The Musical and Little Shop Of Horrors!
We are always on the lookout for: band members, set-builders, backstage crew, technical crew, costume makers and front of house. o So no matter if you're a seasoned performer or a complete stage newbie, if you've got the same passion for musicals as us then you're always welcome in our society! • Auditions for this year's 24 Hour Musical will be in early October, and for the Main Musical will be in November/December (dates TBC).
