Welcome to St George's Fashion Show

Fashion Show is a charity dance showcase that takes place in November each year in the SU Bar. Each year the show attracts an audience of over 1,000 people and raises money for two important charities. Over the years the show has been so successful that we were awarded ‘Best Student Led Event of 2015’ in the UK by the National Union of Students.

The show incorporates a range of dance styles from ballet to bhangra and is open to everyone with a variety of dance experience. The show is produced entirely by students, so alongside the dancers we have a talented team of dressers, artists, tech officers and a backstage team. The show is a great way to meet people from different courses and year groups with plenty of opportunities to socialise in between rehearsals to enable the cast and crew to bond!

This year we will be raising money for two important charities:

• Royal Free Charity (Amyloidosis Research Fund) -exists to support the world leading research and development work of the Centre. The Fund provides fully flexible resources to enable immediate investigation and implementation of novel ideas by specialised staff and new equipment with related running costs. The team at the NAC has worked on many aspects of amyloidosis for more than 40 years, making fundamental discoveries about the disease.
• Alzheimer Research UK - the UK's leading dementia research charity, dedicated to causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure. The organisation has invested in over 1000 projects since 1994.
