Jenner Wing level one is currently undergoing significant refurbishment and redevelopment works. As part of these works, access to and from parts of level one will be restricted to only the contractors and management personnel directly involved in the project.

Consequently, as of Wednesday the 27th January access to the North Westerly quadrant of Jenner Wing level one will be secured and restricted to only approved personnel.

Corridors 1 & 3 will be closed off from the double doors midway along (adjacent to the toilets) up to and including corridor 10.

Corridor 10 will be closed off from a point adjacent to staircase 23, through to staircase 24. Staircase 24 will be closed off as a point of ingress for level one. Please note that all doors to the area in question will be locked and alarmed to maintain and ensure the required levels of security.

Access to the non-restricted parts of corridor 10 can be achieved via corridor 4, 6, 7 & 9 respectively.

***FREE and FUN movement based anatomy classes for students!***

Do you struggle with learning anatomy? Are you interested in trying out a new way of learning about the body? Do you enjoy movement and exercise?

Anatomy Embodied is a free programme of classes combining the study of human anatomy with the practice of movement, through Pilates and yoga inspired exercises. Anatomy Embodied is a teaching project set up initially for medical students at Kings College London by a group of doctors and anatomy teachers. It is now being trialed at St Georges, and is open to students on courses of all disciplines.

Applications close midnight Sunday 7th Feb! Follow this link to the application form - Anatomy Embodied Application Form.

The Concept
The programme will consist of five weekly classes. Each class is a 90-minute interactive session of anatomy teaching, warming up, surface anatomy, movement based exercises, cool down and relaxation. As well as helping to boost clinical and functional anatomical knowledge, the class aims to give you a light work-out at the same time, and offers an opportunity to combine exercise with revision in a relaxed environment.

Who is it for?
These classes are open to all students on healthcare courses at Kingston and St Georges. Some prior knowledge of anatomy is required; the course is intended to be a revision aid as opposed to a primary teaching session. In order to sign up to the programme, you must be able to attend all five classes. On successful completion, you will receive an Attendance Certificate to be included in your portfolio.

Students of all physical abilities are invited to take part. If you have any physical limitations which you feel may affect your ability to take part, please let us know through the application form, so we can prepare adjustments and modifications to the class.
