Jewish Society Marks Holocaust Memorial Day

On Wednesday, 24th January, the Jewish Society marked Holocaust Memorial Day at St George's. The highlight of the cerimony was the participation of Dalya Wittitnberg, who presented a detailed account of her grandparents' story of survival.

The event also featured a speech by the Society's President and thought-provoking poetry read by the Society'sTreasurer.

"Commemorating the Holocaust has never been more important than today", the Jewish Society wrote on their Instagram profile. "We should all aim to combat hate with education, and a zero-tolerance approach. Our love can be so much stronger than hate."
