Surf and Watersport
We are a group of friends who share a passion for all things wet and wild! If you enjoy surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, wild swimming, sailing, or any other watersport, then this is the perfect society for you. We expect lots of students will want to try something new and are expecting lots of beginners too - therefore the society caters for this and will include teaching sessions for learners. Above all else we want to be flexible and non-commital as we understand university can be stressful with lots going on. In weeks we don’t have watersport activities planned we’ll be meeting to socialise over dinner or drinks, we aim to do this at least fortnightly.
Membership is £3 annually, and only requires payment if you wish to attend the watersports events we plan. In addition to this we will be using external organisers to host events, and if you wish to participate in these there will be a cost per head to pay directly to the company hosting the group. This will be discussed and agreed per event.
