Musical Refunds

Getting a refund for your Carrie: The Musical tickets

Unfortunately, the planned Musical Society production of Carrie was not able to go ahead before the lockdown was implemented, and given the University's plans to not fully reopen until after December, it looks increasingly unlikely that performances and shows will be able to resume in the new academic year. As a result, the Musical Society committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the performance without looking to reschedule the dates. As a result, all tickets for the shows are now void, and in need off refunding.

If you have purchased a ticket, please follow the correct section below to obtain a refund.

Online Ticket Sales

If you purchased your ticket through the SU website, you should have received a refund automatically. Payment will be returned, via PayPal, to the email address used to purchase the tickets. If you have not received a refund for your purchase by Monday 1st June, please email vpfinance@su.sgul.ac.uk and we will double-check the reason for the delay.

Card Payment

If you purchased your ticket in person using the SU's card readers, please contact vpfinance@su.sgul.ac.uk with the following information:

- The number of tickets purchased, and the days they were purchased for;

- The last 4 digits of the card used to purchase the tickets;

- The date of the transaction (if you can find this on your card statement - this isn't essential but can be helpful);

- A picture of the ticket, with your m number written on. This is to ensure tickets cannot be used for multiple reimbursements.

Once we have the above information, we can refund the transaction to the purchasing card. Please allow 72 hours for the refund to be processed once receipt of your email is confirmed.

Cash Payment

If you purchased your ticket in person using cash, please contact vpfinance@su.sgul.ac.uk with the following information:

- A picture of the ticket, with your m number written on. This is to ensure tickets cannot be used for multiple reimbursements.

- A PayPal address to send the reimbursed funds to. We will only be able to refund cash payments using PayPal - if you do not have an account with PayPal, setting one up is free on the PayPal website.

If you have any questions or difficulties with the above steps, please contact vpfinance@su.sgul.ac.uk to discuss further.
