Music Society
The music society is exactly that! We've got bands, a choir, whatever orchestra-like thing we can concoct each year depending on what instruments everyone plays! Most of all we're a group of people who love music, and we run several events each year dedicated purely to that cause.
Our regular open mic nights make for a great, chilled out evening at the Dragon Bar, but our highlight events - Christmas concert, Blues Jazz and Soul night, and the one and only Battle of the Bands, are what really get the motors running, or the amps breaking!!
For those who want to grow their arsenal of strings, reeds and big fancy wooden boxes, we even facilitate student-peer teaching of musical instruments!
Look out for our year openers this autumn! We'll have an open mic night right out of the gate, and band speed dating to match your lethal guitar shreds to a raucous singer, unstoppable drummer, and even that elusive bassist... Whether you be a jazzy groover, breakbeat raver or even more of a classical fan, you'll find your kind with us.
