Punjabi Society

Welcome to the Punjabi Society

St George's Punjabi Society was the first society created to give a voice to the Asian population at the university with its main aims being to promote the rich Punjabi Culture, give back through charity and create a fun environment in which people can socialise and meet each other. This year we will be supporting Unique Home for Girls - an orphanage in Punjab which looks after abandoned young females.

Since its establishment, the society has made astounding progress in various aspects including: a successful Bhangra team winning national competitions and performing on the BBC alongside world famous artists, as well as, academic sessions (mock OSCEs) and charity events.

Under a completely fresh new committee and with a new look, Punjabi Soc is looking forward to hosting larger and more innovative events involving other London universities, expanding its Bhangra squad to take part in bigger competitions and to continue with previous successful classes and events.

Achievements 2018/2019

Last year we raised over £150 for charity and competed once again in the biggest Bhangra competition in the world , The Bhangra Showdown.
