Pakistan Society
We are a cultural society at St George's focused on sharing our love for Pakistani culture and history with all students on campus. We bring exciting events for members such as Mehndi night (ladies only) and our annual sports games in collaboration with other cultural societies. This year we also had the opportunity to help/support Pakistan through charitable work by working with the Shahid Afridi Foundation. We organised a range of events including a freshers' meet & greet, bowling, pizza sale, bake sales, Paksoc goes Winter Wonderland, intersoc football matches, ladies Mehndi Night, Kahani - identity night dinner, games night and Roza & Rounders.
Our biggest achievement has to be the successful collaboration that we organised between all London and Oxbridge universities - Paksoc goes Winter Wonderland, which was attended by over 100 people! We also organised an amazing formal dinner 'Kahani' where we raised £1,353 for the Shahid Afridi Foundation to support the education of young children in Pakistan.
