Tennis Centre Receptionist- Weekend Role Immediate Start
All Star Tennis allstartennis.co.uk is a vibrant, friendly group of people dedicated to delivering Tennis in the London area. We are currently looking for a few people to help us grow the company so we can achieve our goal to provide affordable open access tennis to everyone. Currently we run 28 courts across 6 venues in South London and are in the middle of an extensive resurfacing programme that includes 19 resurfaced tennis courts and a multisport surface at Tooting Common.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a venue including but not limited to:
• Engaging with customers in person, on the phone and via email.
• Providing administrative support to the coaching and management team.
• Managing court and course bookings for your site and remotely for other venues.
• Supporting the programme implementation and development
• Promotion and marketing of all coaches and our programme.
Requirements
• Experience working in a customer-facing role, any experience in the sport/leisure industry would be a huge bonus.
• Availability weekends
• Seasonal Role (April to October with potential to work year round)
• Love and interest in sports is a must
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Computer Literacy – competent with computers, especially Microsoft Office, experience with other CRM sales systems would be a plus.

Drug trial seeks healthy volunteers
Cardiologist Dr Bode Ensam is recruiting healthy volunteers to take part in a new research study conducted at St George's.
The study will look at how the cardiac drug Ajmaline acts on healthy subjects.
Participants will undergo comprehensive cardiac testing while taking the drug and a fee will be payable.
If you are interested in taking part, please complete a short online confidential questionnaire which can be accessed here
Eligible candidates must be;
·Between the ages of 18-65
·Free from any cardiac symptoms
·White Caucasian
·Not on any cardiac medication
Fee of £100 for subjects accepted to the trial
Apply now to the summer dissection programme
Each year the Anatomy Faculty at St George’s run an intensive four-week Summer Dissection Programme between July- August. The aim of the programme is to provide material for next year’s teaching, as well as providing students with the opportunity to improve the quality of their knowledge of anatomy through active dissection. Furthermore, participants who successfully complete the programme are able to carry out a further 1-week of Deep Dissection (14th- 18th August), subject to passing the following prerequisites:
* 100% attendance during programme
* Completion of assigned work within allocated timeframe
In addition, participants who complete the 2017 programme will be given a one year contract as a demonstrator for academic year 2017-18.
Programme Dates: 6th July- 11th August (excluding 20th July, 2nd- 4th August).

The charity is offering 16-25 year olds free part-time (mainly weekends and evenings) 'on the job' training in all aspects of programme-making. This package will focus on the General Election, featuring a lively on the sofa debate with a leading commentator and election vox pops on the streets.
The training package covers debates, discussion programmes, camera essentials, lighting, sound, presenting and interview technique. No previous experience is required but a keen interest in challenging ideas is a must as our programmes prioritise content over style.

University of Nottingham - inaugural Africa Summit
The University of Nottingham will host its inaugural Africa Summit on Friday 16 June 2017. The Summit will provide a platform to advance communication on the economic wealth of Africa with investors, students, graduates and top government officials expected to attend and contribute to the discussion.
The Summit will be opened by His Excellency Atiku Abubakar (The Ex-Vice President of Nigeria) with a lecture on the theme: ‘Where is Africa Going?’
other notable speakers expected to attend the Summit include:
- Dr Josephine Ojiambo ,Deputy Secretary General of The Commonwealth;
- Chief Tunde Afolabi, Chairman of Amni International Petroleum Company; and
- Dr Boly Barry, Former Minister of Education for Burkina Faso and UN Special Rapporteur on the right to education.
