A message from the Media *COUGH* Communications Officers

 

New beginnings! This is the handover newsletter! Beginning with the new newsletter format! As outgoing Media Officers we would like to thank everybody who reads the newsletter, and would like to welcome the new Communications Officers! Medset SJT Preperation Course (www.medset.co.uk). 

A group of junior doctors set up this ourse 3 years ago and have had huge success with students scoring 6.9% above the national average. That obvioulsy has a massive positive impact on the early professional lives of our students seeing as the SJT represents 50% of your FPAS ranking. 

 

The course provides the tools and tips to optimise your SJT performance using input from the North East Thames Programme Director and the very top exam performers. 

Events happening at George's

Not much going on atm as all of us have either finished or are on the final stretches before exams! A massive congratulations to all of you that have just finished (our fingers are crossed for you!) To all of those still going strong hang in there 

Outside Events

Wimbledon (now until 10th July) - As it is only just around the corner, get in on the Tennis action! The turnstiles open at 9.30am each morning, with the best tickets being allocated to those at the front of the queue at 7.30am. http://www.wimbledon.com/index.html 

 

Greenwich and Docklands International Festival (now until 2nd July) - A celebration of outdoor theatre. Most parts are free so could be a fun day or night out, post exams! http://www.festival.org/
