St Georges anatomy challenge

Before Easter the St. George's Surgical Society hosted the first St. George's Anatomy Challenge along with Mr Philip Adds and Mr Paul Carter.

The competition was split over two days; the first day was held in the dissecting room and students individually answered anatomical questions based upon cadavers and prosections. The top 32 were invited to the second day and split into 8 teams of 4. They went through knock-out rounds of questions until two teams went head to head in the final to win the trophy.

This year's winners were Victor Bozo, Fraser Thomson, Joel Coombs, and Aditya Mavinkurve.

The event was very generously sponsored by MDU Student who sponsored the trophy, Elsevier who provided the textbooks for raffle prizes (won by Jordan Colman, Michael Moore, Parker O'Neill, and Misbah Sheikh and Dominos Pizza who provided pizzas for the competitors.

Keep an eye out for next year's competition for your chance to get your hands on the SGSS Anatomy Challenge Cup!
