Poster Competition

The Pathology Museum, St George’s, University of London awards a prize annually in the memory of Professor Noel Gowing, a Founding Fellow of The Royal College of Pathologists and for many years, one of the most respected diagnostic histopathologists in the UK.


The winner will receive a prize of £300 for the most original and thought-provoking museum-style poster on a disease represented in the Pathology Museum. The  runner-up will receive a prize of £200. Examples of posters are on display in the museum and students are welcome to visit the Museum to view these and discuss ideas for entries with the Museum Curator.


Entry conditions and guidelines
Poster entries must be submitted electronically in Powerpoint format through the Pathology Museum Canvas page.  Entries must be 2D, size A3 with a maximum of 500 words. Work must be original and created by the student. Information sources should be cited and referenced appropriately on a separate page. Student names should not appear on the poster. Posters containing unoriginal content will be disqualified from the competition. For more information please view this link.


Poster entries will be on display on the St George's website, through social media, in the Museum and/or within the Public Engagement spaces of the University.  
Applications are encouraged from all St George’s students.  Entries should be submitted by the 30th April 2020.
