Research Day 2020
About the event
Research day is an annual event that showcases the world class research done at St George’s. It is an opportunity for staff and students to share ongoing research work and ideas, to promote discussion and to strengthen collaboration across the University. Research Day this year will take place for the first time entirely online.
Running from 10am to 4:30pm, the day will take a different format to previous years. Morning sessions will focus on undergraduate, Master’s student and PhD candidate presentations selected from submitted abstracts with four awards in each category. Student prizes will be awarded based on voting from those participating in Research Day; contenders will be chosen from the top three abstracts in each of the categories of undergraduate, MSc/MRes and PhD/MD. For more information, to register or to submit an abstract, follow this link.
Later, a highlight will be the annual Thomas Young Lecture which will be followed by brief talks from research staff selected to receive Outstanding Research Awards.
