SGUL STAR (Student Action For Refugees) needs you!

We’re having a meet and greet next Thursday 24th 6:30pm SU bar and would love to meet as many of you as possible and get you involved in our society.

Our projects include:

Local volunteering groups - boys sport, girls sport and a homework support group. We are looking to set up a new project if students are interested.

Education: We host events to educate students about refugee rights and have this year introduced teaching into the MBBS curriculum about refugee healthcare rights to make everyone better practitioners. We are looking for students to get involved in delivering teaching in future years.

Campaigning to improve the lives of refugees. We are currently in talks with the university about the introduction of scholarship programmes as part of the Equal Access campaign after we brought this issue to their attention following our petition campaign.
