MOVEMENT WORKSHOP with award winning choreographer, movement therapist and Asian dancer, Anusha Subramanyam from Beeja dance company Anusha returns to St George’s by popular demand, participants of last year’s workshop described it as: ‘inspiring’, amazing’, and ‘exhilarating’!
The workshops will encourage participants to find and explore their own possibilities of movement, through building awareness of sensations within the body and exploring improvised movement and the use of breath. Elements of Indian dance, yoga and somatic practice will be incorporated into the sessions, highlighting the value of movement to health promotion and well-being. Accompanied by live music, vocal and percussion.
No previous experience of movement or dance necessary and this workshop is suitable for all abilities. All students and staff are welcome.
All sessions are free.
