Men's Football
With three teams, we are one of the largest sports clubs at the university. This means we can cater for players of all abilities and experiences, fitting them into the squad which suits them best. All three teams play matches on Wednesdays and Saturdays, in the LUSL league/cup, and the United Hospitals cup. The 1st team also compete within the BUCS league/cup. Historically, all three of our teams have been very competitive at their individual levels. Our most recent success came in the 2017/18 season, when we won the UH cup for the first time in 53 years! Although we play as three separate teams, off the pitch, we are very much one club. We hold a sports circle in the SU every Wednesday, as well as organising a large group tour to a foreign country every year. Other events include meals with other clubs/societies and the university hospital sports night out. Arguably the most important side of our club, getting involved with the socials allows strong ties between members of all year groups. You will quickly see how close everyone is and hopefully will join us for a social soon.
To support you during the exam season, senior members of the club organise revision sessions for anatomy and clinical skills. If you have any questions about uni life or the club itself, don’t hesitate to ask one of us.
We train on Monday nights, 8pm - 10pm at Imperial Fields (Tooting & MItcham FC), Bishopsford Road, Morden, SM4 6BF. An easy way to get there from Tooting Broadway is the 280 bus towards Belmont.
