Athletics and Cross Country
Whether you're a weekend jogger, Olympic marathon runner or club sprinter, we have something for you. We offer running and athletics for fun, fitness and competition - a great way of keeping fit, getting to know new people and 'enjoying' a race or two.
We offer:
Easy group social runs on Wednesday afternoons
Trips to our local parkrun on Tooting Common - really simple and really inclusive
5 cross - country races against all the London Universities - all standards welcome, just prepare to get muddy
Indoor track and field championships in November, including the 150 year old United Hospitals Athletics Championships, which we won in 2017
3 outdoor track and field meets in the spring
Track and field training through our partnership with local club Herne Hill Harriers
Runs in some of South London's best green spaces including Wimbledon Common, Clapham Common, Wandsworth Common, Mitcham Common, Battersea Park & Brockwell Park
The opportunity to compete at BUCS, either cross-country or at the indoor and outdoor athletics championships
The Athletics Club takes part in several competitions throught the year and over the years our students have been hugely succesful competing against talented athletes from around the country. In 2017 our team won the United Hospitals shield.

We're really keen to get loads of people running and welcome everyone from other sports. Running is a great way of improving your fitness for football, hockey, rugby or rowing so come along to any of our sessions.
