Hello I'm Tanisha, Vice President Education and Welfare. I have been heavily involved with the SU during my time here as a student, from performance societies to Ladies’ Football, as well as my Exec experience of being a RAG Officer and Student Trustee, so I encourage all students to make the most of what we have to offer!
My role involves representing the students at all academic meetings with the University, as well as looking out for the welfare of every student. As lead of the Representation Zone, I work closely with the Ethics & Environment Officers, International Officers, Campaigns Officers and Equality & Diversity Officers to run events and campaigns, as well as supporting them within their roles.
University life comes with its challenges and I am here to offer a listening ear and signpost students to the most relevant service, whether they are experiencing academic, financial, health or emotional difficulties. My open door policy means that students are welcome to come to my office for a cup of tea and a completely confidential chat without arranging a meeting in advance, so please don’t hesitate to ask for help if you need it!
