Welcome to Student MedAid London

Student MedAid London is the St Georges Students' Union Community Project of the Year 2023. We are affiliated with the Student MedAid London CIC, a Natwest Top 100 Social Enterprise 2023.

We have 2 main aims:

• To coordinate the redistribution of excess medical supplies to individuals, communities or places in need by organising projects that link prospective donating organisations with receiving organisations.
• A commitment to increasing awareness and education on global health and sustainability for students and the general public.

Last year this involved donating 40kg of medical equipment to Tripoli General Hospital in Lebanon, and having educational and advocacy events throughout the year such as a Refugee Health Briefing and a Global & Sustainable Health Hackathon.
 
Most of our events are free for members, and we also offer opportunities to become involved by helping us to collect donated medical equipment or deliver them, deliver some of our advocacy session, taking part in our research work and attending our events.
