International Student Page

As an international student you can face some difficulties. You have arrived to study in a country which may be culturally very different from you are used to. Being a long way from your home and family can lead to feelings of isolation and loneliness. However, coming to London to study from abroad is both a brave and exciting thing to do and will hopefully prove worth all the effort! And here at Georges, we are proud to say we have a great team here to support you the whole way through.

- ISH (International Student House) Events

  • We met with Elizabeth Witter in the Student Centre and one thing she wanted us to do was get more involved with the International Student House this year. So we’ll be hoping to get in touch with them and making sure we update on any events that are going on this calendar as well as emailing students. And we talked to Elizabeth about coordinating it so that every once in a while we can try arrange to some as a group if people are interested.

- Focus Groups

  • In our meeting with Elizabeth we also came up with the idea of leading a focus group every now and then to give students the chance to express their concerns and feedback we can give to either the student union or international advisors in the student center. So this is something we would also like to include in the calendar if possible – we will also be emailing students about this.
